I've been using these on pancakes, waffles, cheese and toast mostly for my 1 year old. It's a quick and fun little cutter. The square are my favorite but the older kids like the hearts because it has a few different shapes on it. The only time I had problems with this or thought it was messy was when I was using it wrong. It's not a press! If you try to press the food through using both parts, it's a mess but that's not how it's used. Just use the one piece (with the handles) to cut it and then the second piece to loosen any pieces if you need.

We were given this as a gift and it was very disappointing. The bites from the heart shaped one were too small for my 3 and 5 year olds. Also, on a peanut butter sandwich, the peanut butter just squeezed out everywhere and made a huge mess. My kids couldn't pick up the pieces without getting peanut butter all over their hands. Clean up was horrible. The holes in the cutter are too small to clean well and the top part that presses the sandwich through was also impossible to clean. We tried it just on a piece of bread and it smushed the bread and again, pieces of bread were left in the cutter part and pushing part and the time it took to clean the cutter was ridiculous, taking away from any good features. We also tried it on watermelon and cantaloupe and the pieces were so small they slipped out of the kids' hands and again, clean up was difficult, especially if you want to make sure that you thouroughly clean out all of the nooks and crannies. Simple cookie cutters (which are far less expensive) or just using a knife (which we all have at home) are far more practical.
Also, I was treated extremely rudely by the owner of the company when I tried to return the product. Customer service and customer satisfaction are not a priority for this company.

These FunBites food cutters are brilliant! My toddler could possibly be the most impatient eater in the world. He sees food and he wants it. Now. I often find myself handing him a cracker so he doesn't yell the entire time I prepare his food (he's just a little guy still, and doesn't understand waiting yet). The Cube It! and Luv It! cutters make breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack time so much easier! I just pull it out and cut up his toast in one fell swoop. Both of us are happier. And I have been so impressed with how sturdy these are. They can really take all the pressure I apply when I'm cutting his food. I am constantly looking for ways to simplify my life as a mom, and this is definitely one of those ways! We cut up toast/bread, pancakes, and cheese on an almost-daily basis.
