Product Description

A sweet and stylish way to make school lunches fun again, this sleek lunch kit offers children ages five and up an easy way to tote along their favorite meals and snacks. The unit features two zippered compartments: a large one with generous space for stashing a wrapped sandwich or a thermos of soup, and a smaller one that keeps fruit, veggies and ranch dip, pretzels, cookies, and other finger foods neatly tucked away. Made with high-quality closed-cell polyethylene foam insulation with PEVA linings, the PVC-free lunch kit helps keep its contents properly chilled while ensuring 100-percent food-safe use. Even more, its colorful exterior sports an oversized Hello Kitty graphic set against pink polka dots, with black zippers and trimming adding stylish contrast accents. Additional highlights include a comfortably padded carrying handle and a compact design that fits neatly in a backpack or book bag. A smart, sustainable alternative to wasteful brown paper lunch sacks, the reusable lunch kit wipes easily clean with a damp cloth and measures 5 by 7-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches.

Product is great as described. Shipping a little slow - - It took more than two weeks before it actually was placed in the mail.

I am a grown-up who loves Hello Kitty. No, i am not a girly girl.

i did a lot of research on Hello Kitty lunch/thermo bags, both here, other sites in the US and on websites overseas. Initially, i was looking for a huge lunch bag in the shape of a hat box which i saw a friend of mine carrying. She received it as a gift.

I could not find anything close to it on US websites. I set my sight lower, figuring it would be ok, if i carry something that is similar to the lunch bags that my students carry.

Still, the job was challenging, because most of the products are designed for... my students' age group, under 6. They are small and cannot accommodate the solid 1 3/4 cup containers by Ziploc (usually i carry at least two of them), an apple, a roll, a boiled egg, and (to save the environment) a metal spoon or fork.

Finally, i found this one. A couple of aspects immediately stood out. Its size is decent for what i need to put in there ( i can fit two in the upper compartment, and, a flatter version by other tupperware makers ). i can stick the spoon or fork in the lower compartment, too, to save the bigger space for more containers and the ball-shaped apple which would not fit in the lower compartment. The egg gets laid in the lower compartment. The roll fits, too.

First of all, the lunch box I received is NOT the lunch box in the picture. The one I got has hello kitty reading a book, and is red and pink, with stars.
Besides it not being what I thought I was ordering, the condition of the lunch box is not so great. Some of the rubbery part (hello kitty's body) is translucent/the color has faded away. The whole thing already has very light scratch marks.
The plastic container it comes with is dirty and badly scratched.
I did not get what I ordered. I did not get a clean, mint-condition product.

The lunch bag came as pictured, but it says lunch kit and the description says "includes dishwasher-safe food-storage container" which is untrue. Also, the paper inside gives instructions for cleaning the non-existent container and a non-existent bottle with a cap. So much for a lunch "kit."
