Our toddler has used this soft lunch box for school four days a week for 6 months now. She loves to carry it herself. It's adorable, and it's held up great. It's constructed of durable fabric with excellent craftsmanship and nice hardware. The design / colors are distinct, modern and cute. Compared to the mass-produced, cheap lunch boxes we saw at our big-box stores, this lunch box is better value by a mile.
Each evening, we empty the lunchbox and wipe the interior and exterior down with a washcloth. We have absolutely no problems with any offensive odors-- from this standpoint I couldn't be more pleased-- there's nothing worse than yucky-lunchbox-smell. The interior is white, and so we have minimal "staining" (from some marinara sauce, I believe). The white areas of the exterior fabric are getting a bit dingy, however, the care instructions state that you can run the lunchbox through the dishwasher. I haven't done it yet, but I bet that would take care of it.
