Sometimes you acquire something and then realize it has changed your quality of life. Like prescription sunglasses, for obvious reasons. This is one of those kinds of purchases.
Does it do a fantastic job of keeping hot things hot, or cold things cold? No. Does it protect the contents from shifting around or getting bruised? No. It's just the most basic metal lunchbox you can imagine. But the design is so awesome, it's like having an excuse to carry around a piece of art. Really brightens my day, I love it.
I would not recommend it, because if you had one too, that would take some of the uniqueness out of it for me, and then I would be mad at you. If we don't know each other, then go for it.

It arrived with a small dent in the upper portion, but easily popped out. It did leave a small crease where the dent had been. I purchased it for my 13 year old daughter who actually used it for a few weeks. The clasp became too weak to support actual use in short order, so we used a twist-tie to make it stay together. The box was eventually stolen at school (with a great lunch inside). I purchased it from Amazon under $18 but now would not replace it unless I am using it for a collection (even them the price seems to high now). Collectors beware of the dent potential in shipping and the screen print at the edges seems a little off. Overall, it was a fun thing for my 13 year old to use before the new Beatle-mania hit.

Good quality lunch box. Better than sacks which can get squished in back pack. Room for small juice bottle and apple, plus sandwich and other items. Plenty of room.
