After lugging around casseroles in a brown paper bag or other makeshift device, we decided that it was time to purchase one of these carriers. However, most are of the "Cadillac" version, include a Pyrex dish, and/or are quite expensive. All we needed was a simple carrier to go short distances. This tote does the job perfectly! It is insulated well enough to keep items warm, has sturdy handles, and the best part...it is sold at a great price.
If you are looking for a simple tote without the included dish, I highly recommend this Camerons product. It is built well and does what it built for.

The price was right and it performed well: it kept everything nice and warm, and the pocket was handy. However, despite the label and product description, this is not machine washable! The inside lining tore when I put it in the washing machine, and the stuffing bunched. I'll fix it with duct tape and keep using it, but it's strictly a handwash item.

My impression online of this item, was that it was a bit sturdier than one that I already own that came w/a dish, lid and hot/cold pack.
It wasn't. This is not as sturdy and frankly, the cost is not prohibitive, I would not return it. It's just not worth my time and effort to return an item such as this. I'll use it, but not necessarily for any other purpose than to cart a dish that does not need to keep warm or cold.
